Founded in 1992, The Anaerobe Society of the Americas is an
international organization, promoting the study and application of knowledge of anaerobic
bacteriology. The primary activity of the society is organizing the biennial Anaerobe
Congress for researchers, clinicians, and laboratory scientists from around the world
to engage in presentations, exchanges, and dialogues related to anaerobes.

ANAEROBE 2026 CONGRESS
July 7-10, 2026 -- New York, NY, USA
The Anaerobe Society of the Americas (ASA) will host its 18th Biennial Congress --Anaerobe 2026 -- July 7-10, 2026 on the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus of Columbia University in New York, NY, USA. The Anaerobe Congress is the premier scientific meeting for investigators involved in clinical and basic science investigations of biomedically-relevant anaerobes in human health and disease as well as in the environment. Researchers and practitioners from many countries attend to engage in presentations, exchanges, and dialogue on issues related to the study of anaerobes. The Congress consists of workshops, invited speakers, oral presentations, poster presentations, and social activities.
