The Anaerobe Society of the Americas (ASA)
hosts ANAEROBE 2022, July 28-31, 2022
at the new Hyatt Regency in Seattle, WA USA.
2022 will address both the clinical and microbiological aspects of anaerobes,
as related to human diseases, animal diseases, and environmental conditions.
Mixing theory and practical applications, the Congress will consist of
invited speakers, oral presentations, and poster presentations,
representing work by researchers from over 30 countries.
Congress will consists of Pre-Congress Workshops, oral presentation sessions, and poster presentation sessions. There will also be
a Young Investigator's Competition,
in which finalists will be judged on oral presentations in front of their
Program: The Preliminary Program will be announced in the summer of 2021. The Oral Program will consist of invited speakers, with additional speakers selected from submitted Oral Abstracts -- deadline Dec. 15, 2021 (see below)
Call for Abstracts
ANAEROBE 2022 offers opportunities for oral and poster presentations related to anaerobic research, clincal case studies, and drug development. Accepted 2020 abstracts may be resubmitted.
Abstract Submission Deadlines:
Oral Presentation Abstracts -- Dec. 15, 2021
Poster Presentation Abstracts -- Feb. 1, 2022
Young Investigator's Awards:
Graduate and Undergraduate Students are encouraged
to enter the Young Investigator's Competition. Finalists
will be chosen from submitted abstracts, and poster
presentations will be judged at the Congress. Finalists
will be given Congress Banquet Tickets, where the
winners will be announced. Cash prizes will be
awarded to the top three presenters.

Researchers, clinicians, laboratory technologists, and students from around the world
are invited to attend and participate in this Congress to engage in
presentations, exchanges, and dialogue on issues related to the study of anaerobes.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be
- Demonstrate knowledge of the latest
developments in the field of anaerobic research.
- Apply new recommendations in the diagnosis,
screening, treatment, and prevention of clostridial,
obstetric and gynecological, periodontal, intestinal, and other anaerobic
- Incorporate better utilization of the
microbiology laboratory into the delivery of patient care.
ANAEROBE 2022 is being planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). No continuing education units will be issued for the Congress.
