Founded in 1992, The Anaerobe Society of the Americas is an
international
organization, promoting the study and application of knowledge of anaerobic
bacteriology. The primary
activity of the society is organizing the biennial Anaerobe
Congress for researchers,
clinicians, and laboratory scientists from around the world to engage in
presentations, exchanges, and
dialogues related to anaerobes.
Membership, offered in Doctorate, Non-Doctorate, Retired, and Student
categories, includes a discounted
subscription of the ANAEROBE journal.

The Anaerobe Society of the Americas (ASA) hosts its 13th Biennial Congress --Anaerobe 2016 -- July 11-14, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee USA. Researchers and practitioners from
around the world are invited to attend and participate in this Congress to engage in presentations,
exchanges, and dialogue on issues related to the study of anaerobes. The Congress
